After receiving many questions pertaining to the blog, Lowering The Lid, I thought I would explain and drop in a couple of images of "Sublime" just after surgery.

The slice and dice consisted of chopping the roof 3-inches. Then the body was sectioned 3-inches to maintain the subs profile proportionally. To eliminate the '50 Subs post-windshield, a '51 Buick onepiece windshield was grafted into the Subs roof and A pillars. The hood was also sectioned then pie cut to continue the same slight rake as the roofline. The door handles were shaved and headlights frenched. To smooth the rear end we eliminated the "big as your fist", rear door hinges.
