I don't know how or why I get half the random press releases E-mailed to me that I do. I've gotten everything from E-mails about Tibetan political dissidents, to invitations to biofuel distribution conferences, as well as the usual rundown of PR about new automotive products, SEMA newsletters, and everything else.
But the one I got this afternoon probably has to take the cake for the weirdness and randomness prize. I received a press release about the founders of Divorce magazine celebrating 10 years of marriage. First of all, I have no freakin' clue how I got on this mailing list. Secondly, what relevance it could possibly have to truck enthusiasts (other than their spouses divorcing them for spending more time in the garage than the bedroom), and finally, why I should care?
As a last note, I'm coming up on my second wedding anniversary, and hope that there will be many, many more in my future, to my same wonderful wife who has the patience to accompany me to many custom truck shows, and has actually photographed a lot of show coverage, some of which I've used on the site. So to the owners of Divorce magazine, I say, "Congratulations on your anniversary, but no thanks, I'm not interested in your magazine."
