I don't do well in the heat. I grew up in central California where fog filters most of our sunshine and you can count the number of 90 degree days on one hand. Then I went to college in northern California and migrated back to foggy Monterey County most summers to avoid triple-digit temperatures. Needless to say, Havasu does a number on me. There isn't a sunblock around that can save me. I think the burning on my neck will subside tomorrow, and I think the features we shot were worth it, but until I see them in print, the only consolation I have is some aloe vera gel for my sunburn.
