Fuel Prices Insane

Has anyone noticed the fuel prices going up in your area? Man, I just paid $4.35 a gallon for diesel yesterday and the pump automatically shuts off at $75.00.

While that should pretty much fills up a small car and then some at that price, in reality on a truck, it just barely moved the fuel needle past half a tank. That is what I would call negative cash flow and even more negative fuel filling because it didn’t fill the damn tank. When will the madness end? Is supply really that impacted by demand?

I have to think not. Why is it that Congress has called congressional hearings with all the heads of the oil companies and have them explain why their companies have reported record earnings in the past several quarters? Do I smell collusion here? What do you think? More importantly what are you doing to offset this run up of fuel prices?

I can always be emailed at steve.warner@sourceinterlink.com to let me know your thoughts.
