Oh, my dear S-10! I'm enjoying every last minute until the dreaded hour strikes!

Well the time has finally come! I'm not too thrilled to be seriously contemplating selling my loyal automotive companion of 7 years but I must be strong and look toward the future.

I have been through a lot with my '00 S-10 but the want of driving a larger daily driver has been nagging at me for some time now. I know I will miss the fuel economy of the dime's four-banger, which is a major concern considering today's gasoline prices. I’ll also miss the fact that the truck is already paid off – damn, I promised myself that I wouldn’t do this...

Ok, so far I have narrowed down my search a bit but I am trying to find a mid-sized SUV that gets somewhat decent gas mileage. I've been looking into a Jeep Grand Cherokee, GMC Envoy, and even a Scion xB (GASP!) I know I'll have funds left over for another project mini-truck if I choose the xB, so who knows.

Guys, please feel free to voice your opinions here because I know there are many others out there in a similar position. Finding the perfect ride is almost as important as selecting the perfect mate – well, almost.
