A good buddy emailed this to me and said he thought I'd laugh. I did, but for a different reason than you might think.

You see, it says: "Fail, Win, Fail", but the way I look at it, the owners of those two fullsize rigs will get a fat check from the insurance companies and  then they get to hook them up with cool new parts. The sorry slacker in the little econo-bucket still wakes up the next morning, looks out his driveway and removes all the sharp objects from his house. Am I laughing, heck yes!
It should read: "Cha-ching, sucker, Cha-ching"!

2. Oh the irony. Many would argue that the attacks on 9/11 were brought about in part because of our unwanted presence in the middle east as a result of our addiction to foreign oil. By refering to those who drive smaller, more fuel efficient vehicles as "suckers", aren't you just perpetuating the beliefs that got us in to this mess in the first place?

I'm all for jokes. But maybe you should have used your brain and chosen to make this one on a different day.

3. Use my brain? It hurts when I use it but I'll try to reply with an insightful thought. If you think fullsize truck and SUV owners were part of the cause of 9/11 I have to ask you to step out of your right wing bubble and see things like this: We receive all of our merchandise, and I do mean all of it, thanks to trucks. Big rigs are the life blood of this country. Yes big trucks require large amounts of fuel, but to suggest the use of trucks aided in the efforts of terrorist is ridiculous. Trucks didn't get us into the mess we're in, people who hate freedom and what this country stands for got us into this mess. Enjoy driving your Prius.

It appears you have the left wing and the right wing mixed up, my friend. It’s an honest mistake, if you’re in third grade. But next time you’re going to use your blog to make a derogatory comment, at least get the fundamentals of your argument right. Or left, if you prefer your logic.

5. I'm not using this blog for any other purpose than to respond to nonsense comments.
You see, the left side (where you are coming from) feels we are fighting the war for oil. Your point was that big trucks use more fuel and because of that, somehow big truck/SUV owners are somehow responsible for terrorist attacks. Doesn't sound RIGHT to me?
A buddy of mine brought up a good point, with Hummer sales being what they are, overall Prius owners on the road use more fuel and are more harmful to the mother nature (batteries, transport from Japan, waste). I don't have any idea how someone could realistically think fullsize trucks and SUVs could have anything to do with terrorism.

If you want to expose how little thought these people (left wingers) have put into their opinions on the war, just use the Socratic Method on them. I'm sure your conversation will sound something like this?

Anti-War Protestor: This is a war for oil! That's what this all about!

You: Why do you say that?

Anti-War Protestor: Because Iraq has oil and we want it! Bush and Cheney, they're oilmen!

You: So how does invading Iraq help us get their oil?

Anti-War Protestor: After we invade, we can just take it!

You: So you're saying we're going to invade Iraq and just take over their oil fields? Then we're never going to pay Iraq for their oil? That doesn't sound very likely?.

Anti-War Protestor: I'm not saying that? we will pay for the oil but?

You: But, we already pay for the oil. How is that different from what we're doing now?

Anti-War Protestor: We'll have all that oil under our control!

You: How will it be under our control?

Anti-War Protestor: Iraq's leader will be a puppet of the United States! They'll have to sell us oil!

You: But they already sell us oil. So why should we?

Anti-War Protestor: He tried to kill Bush's daddy! That's what this war is really about!

7. Well DanWard and MHollstein have a good point. How about the one where Saudi Arabia is the one with the most oil! I think Hope just really wanted to feel bad on 9/11 and Dan's blog was it! We need to remember 9/11 for the heroes and how the country came together. Stop picking people apart for getting on with their lives!

Plus this is a blog on Trucks! Not BBC or CNN!

My boyfriend is a hardworking owner operator and I am glad ppl do appreciate his line of work. I just hope not to be attacked by this comment. Jeez!
