Sometimes photo shoots are more like a crap shoot. When Dan and I travelled to Houston to shoot the cover of Issue #12, fate conspired to make the ordeal very trying. This shot shows two of the trucks we were shooting being loaded onto the trailer, long after the sun had gone down, but before we'd captured the shot we wanted. There's just something about the San Jacinto Monument that doesn't agree with me. Lucky for us, Ken Grubb, the park caretaker, was willing to go the extra mile for us to make sure we got our shot. Thanks Ken, we owe you one!
