Being the Senior Tech Editor of the World's Leading Truck Publication allows you only minmal vacation time.
Once a year the family packs up a goes on vaction, this year I could only get away for 72 hours, due to deadline and we are moving to another location from the 7th floor to the 11th floor in the same building. While I was on my mini vacation, I still found myself writing two tech articles and one feature.
This mini vacation was spent with the inlaws. I have been part of the family for 34-years now! When the entire family is accounted for there are 29 members. From father, mother inlaw, brother and sister inlaws, nieces and nephews. My two sons were unable to make the trip due to work. My oldest Zac works for Toyota as a television comercial script writer, my youngest son, Casey is a designer/artist for Shepard Fairey at Sudio One and Obey. We decided to stay close to home this year, at the Riviera Oaks Resort just outside of Ramona, California.
The time off was great, I was able to hack up the resorts golf course, I made the best of my air conditioned suite to watch the Olympics and plug in my lap top to write my articles and feature.
Before I knew it the three day mini vacation was over. I found myself driving to work this morning. It was like I never left.
I love my job.......
