What do you guys think is the best compromise in static drops for a daily driver?

Here's a shot of my buddy Dave's truck that just got a Belltech lowering kit installed (look for it in a future issue) and I think it looks bad@ss. Of course with a static drop there's no easy adjustent of the suspension, but it is much cheaper than airbags and therefore very popular. As with most vehicles, the lower it is, the better it looks, but of course there's compromise. So how low is too low for a daily driver? How about a weekend driver?

1. In todays world, with wheel and tire sizes larger you might say a 3"-5"mild drop or go old school 4"-6" flip would be the next trend. Leave a 1 1/2" gap atop the tire, or if you live on the edge, tuck some rubber.

2. As long as it doesn't rub. A lowered vehicle that doesn't rub going around corners or with a few people in the back seat is a sign it was well-conceived and executed.

3. I have alot of people comment on my little pickup aswell. Some love the way she sits and others think it is crazy to slam a daily driver. Personally, if the ride is good, safe and enjoyable, who cares what others say. I wouldn't raise mine an inch and if I could drop her another inch without scraping I would! I also agree with you, Dave's ride looks great. Good Job!

4. How much is that lowered and what size rims? How does it ride? I'm new to the game and how it rides is pretty important to me.
