Debuted at SEMA this year, Scion unveiled a customized xP truck concept. The tiny utility bed would add some versatility to the small unibody truck and high-mileage would still be the name of the game. But would anyone care?
It's too small to haul anything you actually need a truck for, it can't tow more than a jet-ski, and the 2.4L isn't going to win any stoplight battles, so what's the point? The point would be for Scion to reach out to "truck" owners who were shocked by last Summer's fuel price gouge and cover the wound with a high-mileage alternative that serves some utility.
The verdict is out, but if we're spending $22K on a small four-cylinder truck, the Tacoma will be parked in the driveway before a Scion will.
