Are Vans Coming Back?

At a recent truck show in Arizona, I came across this cool van that was 'bagged, flamed, and ready to cruise. It made me wonder... are vans coming back?

Our heritage stems from vans and I know there is still a large following, but will we see more vans this show season?

61. Still Vannin'! would be my vote.

I have owned and customized a 1957 Chevy Pick-up, a few vans (1974 - 2003) and a couple of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Out of all of those projects I would have to say that the vans were the most interesting. Simply because of the wide variety of themes or individuality one could achieve.

62. Dan, I have been trucking and observing the vanning movement for over 20 years. I hate to break the news but we are only about a few thousand strong, across the entire United States. I am specifically referring to those individuals that attend the Nationals and their local runs. If we all subscribe at once we are not going to make an apprecaible difference in Truckin's bottom line. Most vanners have seen at least two recessions, some have witnessed three. Hence, we are very thrifty and many cannot afford to subscribe at this time. If you want to support us I hope we can support you. It is a two way street. I can say this though, using televison ads as a gauge, vans are very appealling to the younger set. Every other day I see a Vonage ad or some other business featuring slick vans in their commercials. We're living truckin magazine one weekend at a time. I guess it all depends on your demographic. If you are trying to reach the 20-30 year old set then keep pushing vans and truckins and the nation will get on board with Truckin Magazine. It may even help our numbers as well. I do really appreciate the exposure in your eMAG and hope you keep it up. I definitely will pick up the next Truckin Magazine. Thanks for the opportunity to share my interest in the hobby that is vanning.

63. By far the sickest van around! It fits in with the mag it doesn't have six wheels, rediculous fiberglassed flares and shag carpet with dragons painted on the side like those stuck in the 70's!!!

64. I agree this van is sick!
I met with the painter of this VAN and we WILL feature it once the interior is completed. We want to show ALL the types of vans including ones that make us do triple-takes!
We need more awesome vans like this.

65. Nice to see vans back in your topics. I do hope that you will be attending the Nationals in Pa. Get the word out that this is our premier vanning event for the whole year. There will be vans from all over the USA, Canada and vanners from across the big pond. We are always looking for new members to join our clubs though out the USA.
