Following the support we received from our VAN blogs, we picked up a new VAN project and will begin showing tech on VAN customization. Is this is a good idea?

OK, so the truth is, we did not buy an old van, but it was parked in our lot today at the office.

If we did run more (or should I say any) van tech, would you guys read it?

2. I would read anything VAN related.

How fresh would that be, to read about VANs and VAN tech stuff, look at VAN photo's.

Would I read it? Count me IN as a big YES!

We are in an age where older (80s and 90s) fleet vans are being replaced by Dodge Sprinters and other newer models. It is a prime opportunity for anyone to acquire a van project for very little money!

Also, looking at what Scion has done with it's product line, there are options available for newer minivans to buy custom ground effects, flashy rims and insane ICE!

There are many things that can be applied to a custom van that will appeal to all... dirt bike carrier, big stereos, fishing / hunting / working / playing rigs... I hope possibly your van features in the future will explore the many ways that vans are the perfect vehicles to allow us to live however we want! Thanks for bringing it back!

One area of confusion, not just with Chevs, is custom parts. I read the mag monthly, hoping to understand what "truck" parts (airride, dropped and lifted suspension arms, dash kits, etc.) are compatible with our vans. Please lower and airbag this project! It would be nice to buy a custom truck part with out the compatibility guesswork!

7. Yes I would definatly be interested in info on restoring a van. Bodywork would be a great start, welding in seams or other options to smooth out a van.

8. Its great to see you guys so pumped about the idea of reading about vans in our mag! When I told my pops that we were going to be featuring vans, he got all worked up since him and my uncle, his bro, were custom van and mini-truck fiends back in the day. I think there is much potential, especially after looking at some photos Bob Ryder has collected over the years - pretty neat and different stuff there to be tapped into. Hopefully we get a good response from our little test here and are able to give the people what they want!

Dan Ward Your doing a good job on getting vanning back into the limelght,If there is anything i can do Let me know.yes There are many people still into vans,and yes we would love to read about vans in the magazine.You can do a section on Vans of Yesterday and here they are today.there are a number of vans that were around in the day that have resurfaced or the vanner kept it in the garage.I own just about all the van mags from truckin and they featured vans that are still with us today ,Cooool to see one of them in the Magazine.Good Job Dan The man

Thank you Dan for getting us back in the limelight again, there are still a lot of us customizing vans..fact my daughter who is only 18 already owns 2 van a 1966 Ford under resto and a 1972 Ford that will be on the road this summer..so look out for those young girls in vans..LOL..thanks again for helping us spread the word that we are still here..

14. Thanks Dan for trying to get us back in the groove of things. We have not gone anywhere and its not just about a bunch of hippies doing it anymore. Its about us 2 generations keeping the trend going. and thats what i'm trying to do. I now have 2 vans. a 1966 Ford under restoration and a 1972 ford. I think that if you help us back into the limelight and give us a chance, it could really turn the vanning world around. Thank you so much!
