At the 2007 Resolutions show in Blythe, California, a couple of vehicles caught my attention. One of which was Two Brothers Automotive's 1966 Chevy. The creative mural work and custom taillight and headlamp treatment caught my eye, but what made them pop out of my head like Rat Fink was the 700 horsepower, twin-turbocharged, 428 cubic-inch Pontiac V8 inside.
The builders, Mark Greenwell and Freddy Herrera of Two Brothers, claim that the Van is no longer allowed on the dragstrip, because it can easily run 12-second quarters, but has no outside door handles, nor does it have a roll cage, which are both required for that level of performance. With that much power, I don't doubt their claims for a second, although it's a shame they can't prove it because of track safety regulations.
Freddie and Mark were both thrilled to have a video feature done on their van, which was actually featured in Truckin' way back in the '80s. There's a chance it might show up again in a future edition of Truckin'! In the meantime, check out the exclusive video feature we did on the van.
