It looks like Ford is giving the Lincoln Mark LT idea another shot, but not here.

We can understand why the 1st generation Lincoln Mark LT never really caught on in the Sates; it had the same sheetmetal, same interior, and same powertrain that you could have an a high-end F-150. It was essentially an F-150 Platinum with a different grille. I know that there are Ford-lovers out there who will say that an Escalade is the same as a Tahoe, and now that the Tahoe has a 6-speed and a 6.2L V-8, it's more true now than ever, but at least the Cadillac has unique sheetmetal and headlights. The '09 F-150 is an awesome truck, so there's no doubt that the Mark LT will be comfortable, quiet and deliver a smooth ride, but will it suffer the same fate as the last one? This version won't be available in the US, but it will go on sale shortly in Mexico, where Ford believes it has enough of a following to make it worth while.
