Not too long ago, me and my girl were driving home on a beautiful Saturday morning when I saw a cop giving me the stink eye. I couldn't put my blinker on fast enough before he was pulling us over...but I was ready.

Calling for "back-up",( because you know two young white people in a $50K truck is a crime), our beloved sheriff thought we were up to no good. His explanation for pulling me over "your window tint is way too dark." Watching him through the rearview mirror, I got my camera ready and quickly pushed the sliding glass back window button. Click, and just like that  I had the best cop photo ever. The black on the sides of the pic are the double-limo tint (that's still there) and the other person with the dude, well we don't know what that is.

It could have been worse Dan, you might have been driving the Big "E" van and then the cop would have pegged you for a child molester...Because you know as far as cops think, all of us van drivers are child molesters! That's one reason vanners have always gone out of their way to do community service ideas like toys for tots or food pantry donation drives to dispel those myths!

3. I can relate to this. I live in a small town, a few blocks away from the cops area office. I read in the town paper that a new bunch of recruits had just arrived. It seems that my truck being very low and very tinted as well as being painted up is like an open invitation for them to pull me over. So in the last month I have met all of them, but none would stand still long enough for a nice pic like yours. And none offered me a ticket to the ball like the one you got. although it could have been worse, they could of had you peel your windows right then and there, I've seen it happen! If you put that pic on t-shirts you could probably pay for all the tickets you've ever gotten. Did they tell you it was dangerous and lowers their, I mean your visability.

I agree man, cops love custom trucks. Maybe it's jealousy because their trucks are stock and they want to see custom work up close and personal.

No, I didn't get any lecture on visibility but he did come to my window and ask me where I was headed...after I replied "what difference does that make?", well, I guess a ticket was inevitable.

If there are any cops reading this and you can provide us with some insight as to why a custom truck = an automatic ticket...I'm all ears.
