Tough Lesson Learned

Photos the size of a postcard

Breath-taking snow-capped mountains, clear blue skies, and a sunset to die for...so what's the problem. A rough lesson learned by a veteran shooter.

My tough lessons learned while taking photos of trucks is an extensive list and one I don't voluntarily share. This shoot, however, had the makings of billboard-quality photos- you know the kind Dodge runs in advertisements and stuff.

Here's the problem I found afterwards; my camera was set to ultra-low resolution. I had just picked it up from Canon USA in Irvine, where it was being serviced and cleaned. Unbeknownst to me, when Canon techs clean your camera, they restore the factory settings. Bummer.

My shoot was ruined and though I have beautiful shots, they would only blow up to the size of a postcard, no a billboard.

Perfect for the web, enjoy my misery.
