The NHTSA has recalled a total of 1,348 Toyotas and Scions, including some '09 and '10 Tundras and '09 Tacomas because accessories added to the vehicle will change the payload capacity.
It seems that some wheel options were not rated up to the total vehicle weight plus the full payload. Most of the vehicles will receive a new, correct label, while about 50 vehicles will be over their weight rating if all seats in the vehicle are occupied, giving them a negative weight rating. Toyota hasn't reported what their solution would be for those 50 models. Maybe that explains the newest version of the Tundra caught testing by Truck Trend, initially thought to be a marketing partnership with Pixar's "Up".
