Pickuptrucks.com is reporting that at the release of Ford's self-promotional film, Raptor - Born in Baja, many of the attendees inquired about the possibility of a crew cab version of the high-speed off-road oriented truck.
Initially, the plan was to offer the Raptor in the extended-cab, short-bed configuration only. Engineers likely thought the added length and weight of the crew cab would compromise the Raptor's off-road agility and performance. But that didn't seem to stop the inquiries from coming.
Mark Grueber, marketing manager for the F-150 line, admitted, "Not everyone is going to use the Raptor for aggressive off-roading." Admittedly, much of the Raptor's appeal is as much for its "tough-guy" styling and image as its actual off-roading capability.
What do you think? Should Ford produce a F-150 Raptor SuperCrew?
