 Similar to the Corvette’s LS3, the all-aluminum engine makes even a heavy truck a blast to drive. The only thing wrong with it is that you can’t get it in a regular cab, short bed Sierra/Silverado, or for even more fun, a Colorado/Canyon.

The rest of the Gen III/IV family of engines has a huge aftermarket thanks to the LS1’s release in the Corvette for the ’97 model year, and the Camaro/Firebird in the following year.
