There are only a few cities here in SoCal that allow use of fireworks during the 4th. It usually isn't too hard to get our hands on the 'good stuff' (M-80s, skyrockets, firecrackers, and mortars) but this year my family settled for safe and sane arsenal. Nothing beats good food, friends and family, and the scent of spent gunpowder!
