SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association)  opened the doors of the Pasadena Convention Center on Satruday Aug 1 for its Inaugural "Show and Shine". Truckin' was there....

More than 200 custom cars and trucks were on display inside the spaceous Pasadena Convention Center. It was an opportunity for the public to checkout some of the wildest machines of every facet of the car culture and help childeren in need. The day also included the 2nd Annual SEMA CARES Pinewood Drag Races, that last year raised more than $40,000 for the Childhelp USA and Victory Junction Gang Camp childeren's charities. Childhelp is an organization that aids victims of child abuse. Childhelp originally began receiving support from wheel manufactures in 1994 and now attracts significant contributions from a wide range of industry businesses. Victory Junction Gang Camp was founded in 2004 by Kyle and Pattie Petty in honor of their late son Adam. The organization uses camping experiences in its racing-themed facilities to enrich the lives of childeren who suffer from cronic medical conditions or illnesses.

Chip Foose, host of TLC's Overhaulin' was the show's Grand Marshall. The vendors hall allowed many of the leading aftermarket manufactures to display the latest performance products and answer questions for curious enthusiasts.

A good time was had by all who attended and it was for a good cause, KIDS.
