Here at Truckin HQ, we're all big-time movie buffs. We love to get together with our buddies, gather around the flatscreen, crank up the sound system, and watch a good action flick. So, when we were offered a chance to check out an advance copy of the new police drama End of Watch, we jumped at the chance.
In a nutshell, End of Watch is one of the slickest cop movies we've seen in years. From the same writer and director of one of our all-time favorites, Training Day with Denzel Washington, the style is clearly similar. Also, the gritty documentary-style filmmaking lends itself well to this type of story, putting you right there alongside the characters. Two cops against an overwhelming force of organized criminals—it doesn't get much better than that. It's out on Blu-ray and DVD this month, so take it from us, this one's definitely worth picking up.
Plot Synopsis: Police officers (Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Pena) patrol the mean streets of south central Los Angeles in this riveting portrait of the young cops who risk their lives and family everyday. End of Watch comes to Blu-ray, DVD, Ultraviolet and digital download this January. www.endofwatchthefilm.com
